Carriage of pets in the cabin
You can travel with your dog or your cat in the cabin in all routes operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas. The following are the general conditions of carriage:
1. You must have the required documentation according to your destination. See the Documentation section.
2. You must make your booking through our WhatsApp line (54 9 11 4940 4798) at least 72 hours before the departure of your flight (payment in advance is needed to confirm the service). You may also make the booking at the Airport, on the day of the flight ONLY, but in this case the service will be subject to availability.
3. Unaccompanied minors may not carry animals under this scheme.
4. Each passenger may carry one dog or cat and only one animal may be carried per pet carrier. Up to 2 (two) pets may be carried as checked baggage. A second pet may be carried in the hold (subject to the conditions of such carriage, see the “Carriage of pets in the hold” section).
5. Pets must be carried inside a carrier (crate) brought by the passenger.
6. Characteristics of the pet to be carried:
• Pets must be at least 12 (twelve) weeks old to be allowed to travel, except for flights to/from the United States, in which case they must be at least 16 (sixteen) weeks old.
• The weight allowance for carriage is 9 (nine) kilos per animal, including the carrier.
• “Brachycephalic” dog and cat breeds will be accepted for carriage in the cabin.
• Dogs/cats undergoing veterinary treatment are not allowed to be carried.
• Dogs/cats displaying aggressive behavior towards people, or animals that may be dangerous or may disturb the passengers or the crew are not allowed to be carried.
• Dogs/cats must be in good hygiene so as not to cause discomfort among passengers.
7. Characteristics of the trip:
• Animals may access the VIP lounges as long as they remain inside their carrier.
• During the flight, pets MUST NOT leave their crate or stick their head out of the carrier at any time.
• During the flight, no food or drinks may be given to pets. Passengers must take into account the length of the trip so as to anticipate their pets’ needs.
8. The service is subject to availability in each cabin (The carriage of pets in Business class is not allowed in the case of international destinations operated by Airbus 330 aircraft).
Pet carrier acceptance conditions:
1. It must be a waterproof, durable, ventilated and safe carrier.
2. It must be big enough for the pet to be able to stand up, sit straight, turn around and lie down comfortably.
3. It must be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.
4. Maximum dimensions for carriers in both cabins:
5. Soft-sided crates: 44 cm long, 30 cm wide and 20 cm tall.
6. Hard-sided crates: 44 cm long, 30 cm wide y 17 cm tall.
7. If 2 pets are carried in the same pet carrier, a single charge shall apply (as long as both pets are comfortable and able to move within the pet carrier)
If the carrier does not meet all acceptance conditions, your pet will be denied boarding in the cabin and the charge for the service will not be refunded. Should this situation arise, and as long as you meet the requirements for pet carriage in the hold, you may choose to purchase this service, but you will not be entitled to a refund of the difference between the prices of the two services.

• The stated prices are final and include the relevant tax charged by each country. You may request a Tax Credit Certificate.

• All payments within Mexico due to ticket sales, changes or additional services may only be made in Mexican pesos.
• The pet service in the cabin is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you are not going to use the service you have purchased for your original flight and you do not wish to associate it to another flight yet, you must request the dissociation of the service before the departure of the flight so that such service may remain available during the applicable term of validity. Otherwise, you will not be able to use it again or request a refund.
Service dogs are welcome on board our flights as companions of:
- People with visual, hearing and/or motor disabilities
- People on the autism spectrum
- Trainers
Reserve the service at least 48 hours before the departure of your flight.
In compliance with safety and comfort standards, if you travel with more than one guide, signal or service dog, you must pay for an extra seat.

Credential granted by the training school (*), can be:
a) Holder/dog binomial: data of the holder / data of the guide, signal or service dog.
b) Trainer/dog binomial: details of the trainer/data of the guide, signal or service dog.
(*) In the case of certified guide dogs abroad, the Registry of the country of origin, or entity that certifies it, must appear.
Vest or harness with badge and accessory or strap to secure it to the seat belt.

Entry to our Condor Lounge at the Ezeiza International Airport is allowed according to the class in which you travel or your frequent flyer category.
General information for the trip of your guide, signal or service dog:
It must travel at your feet or under the seat, without obstructing aisles or invading the personal space of the adjacent passenger.
You must behave properly and follow the instructions of your owner
You must be able to refrain from passing stools during the flight and be in adequate hygienic conditions.
We will not be able to assign you seats in the emergency exit
If you have connecting flights with other companies, it is essential to previously check the policy that they apply.

We carry pets (dogs and cats) as checked baggage.
1. You must have the required documentation according to your destination, see the Documentation section.

3. The booking for the carriage of pets is SUBJECT TO the following CONDITIONS:
• the condition of the hold of the aircraft for the safe carriage of animals
• the weather conditions at boarding at the departure, connecting or destination airport
• the booking does not guarantee that your pet will board the flight
4. Pets must be at least 12 (twelve) weeks old to be allowed to travel, except for flights to/from the United States, in which case they must be at least 16 (sixteen) weeks old.
5. You may travel with up to 2 (two) pets per passenger (as checked baggage). This restriction must be construed in accordance with the conditions of each service, which is why the following may occur:
• Carriage of 1 (one) pet in the cabin and a second pet in the hold.
• Carriage of 2 (two) pets in the hold.
• If you want to travel with more than 2 pets, you may carry them as Cargo after having complied with the relevant requirements, conditions and terms and having paid the applicable charges.
6. Pets must be carried inside a carrier (crate) brought by the passenger.
7. Once you arrive at the airport, approach our desks so that we can verify your documents and do your check-in.
8. If you are on a connecting flight, your pet will not be shipped to your final destination but will have to be shipped per segment. You should bear in mind that the time window between flights must allow you to pick up your pet at the connecting point and then ship it again. We recommend that you consider a minimum time window between connecting flights of one hour and thirty minutes (1 h 30 min) for Domestic-Domestic and Domestic-International flights at Aeroparque Airport.
9. If you have connecting flights with other companies, you will have to contact them to learn about their requirements for the carriage of pets.
Pet carrier acceptance conditions:
1. It must be waterproof and have ventilation on the sides.
2. It must be made of a rigid material, and have a metal door and locking pins that ensure that the door will not open at any time during the flight, otherwise a metallic safety seal will be added.
3. It must be big enough for the pet to be able to stand up, sit straight, turn around and lie down comfortably.
4. The head of the cat or dog (including its ears) must not touch the roof of the crate while the animal is sitting down or standing inside it.
5. Only 1 (one) animal may be carried per pet carrier/crate, except in the following cases:
• up to 2 (two) puppies or kittens of similar size and aged between 12 weeks and 6 months (documented).
• 2 (two) adult animals of similar size and weighting up to 14 kg each.
• 1 (one) mother and 1 (one) puppy or kitten still dependent on her (12 weeks to 6 months old).
In order to carry more than one animal in the same pet carrier, they all must be able to stand up and assume their natural position, turn around and lie down inside the crate, and they must be used to living together.
Dogs of dangerous breeds (Pit Bull Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Argentine Dogo, Fila Brasileiro, Tosa Inu, Akita Inu, Dobermann, Rottweiler, Bullmastiff, Dogue de Bordeaux, Bull Terrier, American Akita, Neapolitan Mastiff, Perro de Presa Canario, German Shepherd, Cane Corso) may only be dispatched through Cargo. Passengers must verify their carriage conditions here.
IMPORTANT: Brachycephalic dogs and cats (usually known as snub nosed) are NOT accepted for carriage as checked baggage, and they may only be carried as Cargo.
Fees:
Carriage of pets in the hold is not included in the baggage allowance; therefore, you will have to pay the relevant excess charge, subject to the following:
1. Dimensions of the pet carrier (length x width x height).
2. Route or travel area.
3. Sales point.

Restrictions to carriage in the hold:
If your flight is longer than 2 (two) hours and you are traveling with an animal in the hold, contact us via chat (54 9 11 4940 4798) since, for technical reasons, Embraer Aircraft have certain restrictions in these cases.
In the case of carriage of unaccompanied pets, they must meet the requirements for carriage of animals in the hold; the service must be booked through the CARGO section.
In this category, we accept brachycephalic dogs and cats (usually known as snub nosed), as long as the temperature does NOT exceed 19 °C in any segment of the trip.
These include, but are not limited to, the following breeds:
Dogs: American Bulldog / French Bulldog / English Bulldog / Bulldog / Boston Terrier / Japanese Chin / Pekingese / English Toy Spaniel (only King Charles Spaniel) / Tibetan Spaniel / Shih Tzu / Brussels Griffon / Griffon Belge / Petit Brabançon / Boxer / Japanese Boxer / German Pug / Japanese Pug / Chinese Pug.
Cats: Burmese / Exotic / Himalayan / Persian.

Within Argentina
Current rabies vaccination certificate (for pets older than 3 months).
Certificate of good health/fitness for air travel: issued within 10 (ten) days prior to the departure of your flight.
In transit in Argentina with final destination in the United States: check the entry requirements established by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
<p> Any minor younger than 2 (two) at the time of commencement of the trip shall be considered an INFANT for the purposes of any Domestic/Regional/International flight.</p> <p> Regardless of the destination of the flight (Domestic, Regional or International), all passengers considered INFANTS by Aerolíneas Argentinas must mandatorily travel with the company of their parents or legal guardians and shall not be entitled their own seats. Should a seat be requested for the infant, he or she may occupy one by paying the fare corresponding to a minor (CHILD). In such case, for security purposes, the adult passenger shall hold the infant in his or her arms during take-off, landing and at any time as may be indicated to fasten the seat belts.<br /> There may only be one Infant traveling per each adult passenger.<br /> Flight are not recommended for newborns up to 7 (seven) days of age.<br /> For security reasons, Infants may not travel in a safety car seat provided by the passenger.<br /> The check-in system will automatically assign a seat with double oxygen masks to the adult traveling with an infant.</p>
In Aerolíneas Argentinas, we work so hard that more children may enjoy the experience of traveling alone, therefore we offer the “Unaccompanied Minor Service”.
This service entails the minor/teenager being chaperoned by the staff of the company throughout all the stages of the trip, from the check in counter to the boarding gate, during the flight and in the destination airport.
• Minors aged 5 (five) up to and including 11 (eleven) years old must book the “Unaccompanied Minor” service.
• Teenagers aged 12 (twelve) up to and including 15 (fifteen) years old may travel alone or book the “Unaccompanied Minor” service, if preferred.
Minors/teenagers may travel alone, provided that they do not present any contraindication to air travel and provided that they are able to:
1. Understand the safety instructions provided by the flight crew, and
2. Secure the oxygen masks and buckle their seatbelts, and
3. Evacuate on their own in case of emergency.
Minors/Teenagers that do not meet one or more of these requirements must travel accompanied by an adult.
Booking of the unaccompanied minor service may be done up to 72 (seventy-two) hours before the departure time of the flight by calling our Contact Center (0810-222-86527) or at any Sales Office, and confirmation shall be subject to availability in the selected flight.
The unaccompanied minor service is available only for nonstop flights or connecting flights lasting up to 5 (five) hours operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas.
The parent/caregiver/legal guardian of the minor or teenager must submit the necessary documentation for the trip, according to the destination. At the time of checking in, he/she must fill out and sign the Unaccompanied Minor form, where transport conditions to make the trip possible are notified. The same must contain the personal information of the persons responsible for the minor at the departure and arrival airports, including their given names and surnames, ID, telephone numbers and addresses.
Surcharges for the Unaccompanied Minor Service:
The surcharge applies to each leg and each passenger, and varies depending on the destination:
Routes within Argentina: USD 30
Regional Routes: USD 60
International Routes: USD 100
The service surcharge is refundable, irrespective of the conditions of the applied fee.
The charge applies to award tickets of Aerolíneas Plus program.
The Unaccompanied Minor Service is not available in the following cases:
• Connecting flights with overnight layovers.
• Connecting flights with connections between Aeroparque and Ezeiza Airports in Buenos Aires (AEP/EZE).
• Minors traveling with pets, either in the cabin or in the airplane’s bay.
• Minors traveling with Child Restraint Systems (CRS) onboard.
